  • Ability to work at heights
  • Must be 18 years of age or above to undertake assessment

COURSE OBJECTIVE
This course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to undertake Boom Type Elevating Work Platform operation in accordance with Safe Work Australia`s National Standards for Licencing Persons performing High Risk Work ( April 2006 )

COURSE CONTENT / ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
  • Work planning and preparation
  • Hazard management
  • Set up and operate EWP
  • Emergency procedures
  • Conduct routine checks
  • Locating equipment in place for work

COURSE OUTCOME
  • Statement of attainment for competency unit TLILIC2005 Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform
  • Interim Notice of Satisfactory Assessment for a licence to perform High Risk Work and a Tax Invoice payable to SafeWork SA for the lodgment of the new national High Risk Licence

PARTICIPANTS MUST
  • Be able to work at heights
  • Must be able to complete a declaration of Operating Experience
  • Participants must read learning material prior to attending
  • Wear fully enclosed, non slip safety footwear (excludes sports shoes), shirt and long pants/ trousers
  • Photo identification is mandatory required (Australian Drivers Licence, Passport or Proof of Age card). ID must contain photo, signature and date of birth
